Improvised Explosive Device (IED) & Explosives Effects Fundamentals

Course Purpose: This module of learning is provides in virtual format and can be accessed through multiple platforms, to include computer, tablet, and smart phone. This virtual module provides an overview of the threat from improvised explosive devices (IEDs), identifies their components, explosive effects fundamentals, and describes safety precautions to take when encountering a real or suspected IED.

Who Should Attend? This virtual learning module is ideal for first responders, public safety personnel, and the private sector.

Cost: This virtual learning module will be provided by DHS with no charge to attend.
